Sticking to your Diet – Finding the Perfect Diet to Stick to

How many diets have you tried just to have them fail you in a week or two? How about that diet that made you give up your favorite foods, that one didn’t work either did it? How do you find the perfect diet for you.
We’ve all been on a diet or two..ok maybe many! Oh yeah that one…what was it called…it worked..I lost 30 pounds! Eww! Yeah that was the one that once I got off of it I gained 60 back! Finding a diet that works for you during and after is found usually by trial and error…..and let’s face it, most never find it.
Here’s an exercise that will help you find the perfect diet for you.
Ask yourself a few questions: What foods am I willing to give up….forever? What will my family eat while I diet, will I be cooking two different dinners because my family won’t eat the diet foods? Am I willing to pay for a food program? Do I want to attend meetings? How much do I want to pay for this diet (pre-packaged food and/or membership)?  Do I have to weigh or measure things out? Do I want to clean out my cupboards to start? Do I want to read every label? Do I want to go out of my way to buy expensive, special foods? Can I do it alone or do I need a buddy?
Then you need to answer them, yes write both the questions and the answers down. That way you can really see what you are willing to do to lose weight.  Then put this sheet away and go on about your day. The next morning take out your Q & A sheet and look though it, are you changing any of your answers? This exercise can be a real eye opener. It brings you to the realization of what you are really willing to do and how determined you are.
I can tell you, from experience, that one day I can have all the determination in the world, and the next day I’m not willing to do much. I didn’t want to give up any of my favorite foods like, candy, cookies, chocolate, pizza, or lasagna. I was not going to cook two different meals for me and my family. I set my limit at $50.00 for a book, recipes or information (now that didn’t include the hundreds of dollars I had already spent on diet and exercise books.) I did not want to attend any meetings or pay for pre-packaged food. I was not willing to measure, weigh or even read labels. And I truly was not going to throw away perfectly good food that I had spent money on already. Now this sounds like I wasn’t very motivated, but I truly was! I just wanted something simple to follow, kind of like “moderation is key” or “cut your portions in half”.

MY BODY - MY WORLD

Overweight, Underweight, Diseased, Heart Problems, Diabetes, Cancer, Headaches, Completely healthy?

We have all heard the saying “You are what you eat” and we are to some extent. But my true belief is we are what we think. I believe that our bodies and our worlds mirror each other. Now I’m not talking the whole world, although you could really go as far as saying that, I’m talking of our personal worlds.

How many times today have you thought “I’m not good enough.” “I don’t deserve that.” “What were or are you thinking?” “I’m stupid.” I’m not this, I’m not that. Blah Blah Blah…..if you have said these things about yourself a lot…let me guess – you have some health issues….overweight, high blood pressure? Overall I bet you’re not as healthy as you should be.

Now on the other hand, if you are kind to yourself, if you love yourself, I am willing to say that you are in good health. Am I right? You may have a few ailments but nothing that really stops you from living the life you want to live.

What this all boils down to is the thoughts we have about ourselves. If we have negative thoughts about ourselves and our personal world we are more likely to have health issues because that is the law, the law of attraction. The law states that what you put out in thoughts…that is thoughts that are backed up by emotion, come back to you. Now don’t shake your head…hear me out and test my reasoning. Let’s say that you have not liked your work situation, or your relationships are suffering for the past year…now think back…if this were true for you…have you had any health issues? Have you gained weight? Lost too much weight? Became unhealthy in one way or another? Now would if you have had a great year...your job you are truly enjoying, you are happy with your life, making great strides for yourself…I bet you have become healthier….lost weight, stopped smoking, starting eating healthier? Please let me know if this is resonating with you. Can you see what I’m saying?

Now if you are unhealthy in one way or another…I don’t care if it is just that you are slightly overweight and want to lose 15 pounds or if you have cancer, I want to help you to change your thoughts to get you back on track to a healthier you. (I want to say at this point that I am not a doctor and I’m not giving you medical advice and that if you have a serious illness you should still abide by your doctor’s orders.)
Let’s begin with something simple but very hard for most people to do. Go to a mirror right now…look yourself in the eyes and tell yourself that you love you...say “I love you (your name here)! OK go do then come back.

OK you’re back…was that hard? What did you feel when you said it? Did you feel sad or bad or did you even believe yourself? I know the first time I did it…..I said “Yeah right!” to myself right there in the mirror…..I said it but I didn’t believe it, I certainly didn’t FEEL like I loved myself….so I walked away. I went back and did it again later that day...in fact I think I was brushing my teeth that night, after I said it that time I just started bawling...I cried my eyes out and watched myself and I truly knew that I did not love myself and that I had a lot of work in front of me. A lot of work in front of me….well that was too overwhelming, where do I start?? Where do I start to love myself?

Well I started with finding something that I did like about myself. I loved my calves, I thought they were sexy, and then I remembered that I was smart…..so I loved my brain…I soon found other things that I loved about myself…..I took them all to the mirror….I would say it and gave that saying emotion……”Lisa I do love those sexy calves you have!” giving myself the eyebrow wink! I had very emotional conversations with myself about everything that I loved about myself…I did this every time I passed a mirror for a week. And at the end of that first week, I looked into my eyes and said “I love you Lisa” “I really love you” and I believed it…my eyes were smiling back at me. It was such a transformation for only a one week period.

Now this is just the beginning for you…and I’m not saying you will be cured in a week or that you’ll lose 10 pounds that week – although you might! I’m saying that if you change your thoughts about yourself your body will respond. Keep this practice up and you will eventually find that you are in love with YOU! And what a great place to begin loving everything else.

Healing the Relationship Rift - How to Make Up With Your Ex

Are you still in love with your Ex? Do you want to get them back into your life, mend your relationship? Use Curiosity and Self Interest and "The Magic of Making Up" to get them back.
There are 'magic' words you can use to get your Ex back. I know...sounds too easy to believe but REALLY, there ARE words that will nearly cast a spell and make your Ex feel almost compelled to come back to you.
This is one of the biggest questions I get from hundreds of clients just like you that are trying to put their relationship back together. I have found a well put together manual called "The Magic of Making Up", which lays out an overall plan and strategy to get your Ex back.
I'm going to give you a few tips but I do warn you, if you don't read the full book before you try the following tip, you may damage your relationship even more!
First...let me tell you what NOT to say when calling them:
The following two messages almost NEVER work. And worse...puts you in an AWFUL 'psychological' position.
The PLEAD- Where the message sounds like: "Matt, please, listen to me. We can work it out."
And the EMERGENCY- sounding like: "Kelly, I miss you so much. I'm dying without you."
Now, I think you can see what is wrong with both of those approaches?
So here is the secret: The two most powerful forces in human mind are: Curiousity and Self Interest. Let me tell you haow to use these two forces to your advantage. And here's the BIG SECRET!
When you combine the two, you have a recipe that WILL work MAGIC. So...Let's look at what you can say that works nearly EVERY TIME. In a friendly tone, call your Ex and say:
"Hi Matt. It's Kelly. I wanted to let you know I appreciate what you did for me. Call me because I want to thank you in person."
Do you see how that uses BOTH curiosity and self interest?
Matt will NOT be able to resist! Matt will be thinking "What did I do?" "What does she appreciate?" And he feels good because it is a positive message.
Now...Before you call you need to do the "Set Up"...which is figuring out what he/she did that you appreciate. It can be any small thing...but needs to be plausible. But more importantly......Please have an underlying strategy like the one laid out in the "Magic Of Making Up" BEFORE you call. If you apply this technique with no underlying strategy and they call you back you can do more DAMAGE than good if you do not handle it correctly.
What you do before, during and after you get them to return your call is MORE important than getting them to return your call.
So have a PLAN!! You won't be sorry!!
